Tri Delta

Tri Delta is an international collegiate women's fraternity founded in 1888, supporting women through sisterhood, scholarships and philanthropy, including more than $100 million raised for St. Jude.

Delta Delta Delta, known as Tri Delta, is an international collegiate women's fraternity founded on November 27th 1888 at Boston University. Its stated purpose is to empower women throughout their lives through sisterhood, philanthropy and leadership development, with the organisation's core values described as truth, self-sacrifice and friendship. Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, Tri Delta operates across the United States and Canada, with 137 active chapters on college campuses and 205 alumnae chapters worldwide.

The membership comprises more than 20,000 active members and over 230,000 alumnae. Tri Delta is governed by a volunteer-led board of directors with professional staff support, and its mission emphasises investing in members for a lifetime, extending sisterhood beyond the collegiate years.

Two programmes form the backbone of its philanthropic work. The Tri Delta Foundation provides scholarships, transformational programmes and emergency financial support to members. Tri Delta is also the Official Partner of Kindness to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, through which it has raised more than $100 million to fund research into cures for childhood diseases.

Publicly, the organisation takes positions on issues including body image, diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging, mental health, collegiate housing, equal pay and leadership development.
