TPAPT
TPAPT is a national nonprofit consortium linking students with tutors and tutoring firms for test prep, admissions coaching and private subject tutoring across the United States.
TPAPT, or The Association of Test Preparation, Admissions, and Private Tutoring, is a national nonprofit consortium that matches students seeking specialised academic guidance with qualified tutors and independent tutoring firms. It operates through a network of chapters across the United States and counts some 17,000 local tutors and independent tutoring firms among its members.
For educators, the organisation offers flexible scheduling and hourly compensation of $40–$65. TPAPT handles marketing, client acquisition, curriculum development and administrative support, removing the business development burden from member tutors and providing them with a supply of assignments. The arrangement is intended to leave tutors free to concentrate on teaching.
Its services cover three areas: standardised test preparation, including SAT and ACT tutoring for students sitting college admissions exams; admissions coaching for graduate and professional programmes, among them PA school and nursing school; and one-on-one private subject tutoring, delivered both in person and remotely. The wider fields in which it operates are education, standardised test preparation, private tutoring and graduate and professional school admissions consulting.
