Evidence Action scales low-cost, evidence-based health interventions with governments in 11 countries across Africa and Asia, including deworming and safe water programmes reaching 530 million people.
Evidence Action is a global health organisation that scales low-cost, evidence-based interventions across Africa and Asia, working in partnership with governments to implement only solutions with proven effectiveness. It operates in 11 countries with a team of more than 900 people, and its interventions have reached some 530 million people worldwide. The organisation targets life's most critical stages - pregnancy, infancy, childhood and adolescence - and is recognised as one of the world's most effective charities.
Its programmes include Deworm the World, which delivers treatments to school-age children and other populations at scale. More than 2 billion treatments have been delivered at less than $0.50 each, generating an estimated $23 billion in productivity gains. Safe Water Now provides access to clean water for 9.8 million people and more than doubled its impact in 18 months. Across its work, the organisation reports more than 16,000 children's lives saved.
Evidence Action's method rests on rigorous research and evaluation, including randomized evaluation of proven effectiveness, cost-effectiveness analysis, and constant iteration and impact measurement. Evidence informs every decision, and the stated aim is outsized impact and cost-effectiveness for every dollar spent. Technical domains span evidence-based program design, public health intervention scaling, and government partnership and implementation, across verticals including neglected tropical diseases, WASH, maternal and child health, and international development.
