Chapman Partnership is a Miami-Dade County nonprofit providing emergency housing and trauma-informed health, education and workforce services to people experiencing homelessness.
Chapman Partnership is a nonprofit organisation that serves individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Miami-Dade County, Florida. Founded in 1992, it acts as the private-sector partner of the Miami-Dade County Homeless Trust and operates two Homeless Assistance Centers that together provide emergency housing for some 800 men, women and children each night. The organisation has been recognised as a national model for ending homelessness and holds a 4-star Charity Navigator rating, maintained for ten consecutive years.
Its work extends well beyond shelter. Chapman Partnership delivers trauma-informed care services that combine emergency housing with healthcare, dental care, mental health services, workforce development, education programmes and family support, with the aim of helping clients build paths toward stability and independence. Workforce initiatives include the Young Adult Career Academy, developed through community partnerships, and construction trades training designed to support self-sufficiency. Mobile dental units extend care beyond the centres, delivered in partnership with Jackson Health System and Florida International University.
The organisation describes its approach as meeting people where they are and walking alongside them on their journey to self-sufficiency, with respect, compassion and choice prioritised in every interaction. Much of its model rests on partnership, both with public bodies such as the Miami-Dade County Homeless Trust and with health and education institutions in the region. All operations are concentrated in Miami-Dade County.
