United States Tennis Association-Pacific Northwest Section

USTA PNW is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and one of 17 USTA sections, growing tennis across Washington, Oregon, Alaska and parts of Idaho through youth and adult programmes, community partnerships and three operated indoor tennis centres.

The United States Tennis Association-Pacific Northwest Section (USTA PNW) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 1904 and one of 17 sections of the USTA. It develops and supports tennis across Washington, Oregon, Alaska and parts of Idaho, working through schools, public parks, recreation centres and other shared spaces rather than a single headquarters model. Its stated purpose is to use tennis as a vehicle for lifelong fitness, leadership and sportsmanship, with an emphasis on accessibility and inclusion across ages and skill levels.

Its principal programme, RecTennis, provides low-cost after-school and summer tennis for youth and community members and reports more than 40,000 participants. USTA PNW also runs year-round adult leagues open to all ages and skill levels, and competitive programming for young players ranging from beginner recreation to tournament play. Across its activities, the section reports serving more than 1.3 million tennis players and over 200 facilities, supported by more than 300 community partnerships.

USTA PNW also owns and operates three indoor tennis facilities: Vancouver Tennis Center, Mint Valley Tennis Center and Galbraith Tennis Center. These centres are managed directly by the section, which describes them as affordable venues offering industry-best tennis experiences and returning value to their surrounding communities.

The organisation's culture signals centre on its nonprofit status and a partnership-driven approach to delivery. It frames its work around fitness and wellness for life, instilling leadership and sportsmanship, and engagement for everyone from beginners to competitive players.
