The Charles Stark Draper Laboratory, Inc. is an independent nonprofit engineering innovation company employing more than 2,000 people across the United States. Its multidisciplinary teams of engineers and scientists work on national challenges spanning space exploration, biomedical engineering, national security and human health. The organisation has been in operation for over 90 years.

Technical work concentrates on guidance, navigation and control systems, biotechnology, cyber-physical systems and autonomous solutions. Historical projects include the Apollo Guidance Computer, the guidance and navigation system behind the lunar landings of the Apollo programme. Current biomedical efforts include organ-on-a-chip technologies. The laboratory's remit extends across space systems, strategic defense, aerospace and healthcare.
