Founded in 1967, the organisation has operated for more than 50 years, with a geographic presence in the United States, and works across the national security, defense and intelligence sectors.
Its technical work spans machine learning, trusted systems, radar systems, THz imaging, secure and resilient systems, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR), Type 1 virtualization and software engineering. Products and capabilities developed for mission partners include secure and resilient technical systems for national security missions, ISR capabilities, sensor and imaging technologies such as radar and terahertz imaging, and research pushing the boundaries of Type 1 virtualization and software engineering. A stated emphasis is on transitioning innovations from the laboratory into the field.
