Seamark Ranch is a Christ-centred nonprofit serving children and families in Northeast Florida through residential care, trauma-informed counselling, experiential programming and family support.
Seamark Ranch is a Christ-centred nonprofit ministry serving children and families across Northeast Florida. Founded in 2001 by Keith and April Denton, the organisation is a 501(c)(3) that works in child welfare and family services, residential care, and trauma-informed mental health support. It operates from a 465-acre Ranch campus and community counselling offices in Green Cove Springs, Jacksonville and St. Augustine, Florida.
Its residential programme provides family-style care for children aged 10-17. Children live in two-parent homes with houseparents, a model designed to offer consistency, structure and relational stability. Alongside this, Seamark Ranch delivers trauma-informed counselling through three community offices and runs experiential programming - including equine and agricultural experiences, mentoring, retreats and group programmes - focused on healing, growth and restoration.
Family support and practical support are delivered in partnership with churches, with the stated aim of helping children prosper in faith, in school and in the community. The organisation describes its approach as deeply relational and grounded in the truth and hope of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Seamark Ranch funds its work almost entirely through private contributions from individuals, businesses, civic organisations, foundations and churches.
