Liberty Youth Ranch is a Christ-centred nonprofit residential programme in Bonita Springs, Florida. Founded in 2003 by Alan C. Dimmitt, it provides a home, a family-style living environment and wraparound care for children who lack both. The organisation serves boys and girls from age four through to independent living, and is motivated by the belief that every child deserves a home and a chance.
The Ranch's Residential Care Program addresses physical, educational, emotional, social, behavioural and spiritual needs. Its work includes education support, life-skills training, therapeutic and recreational activities, and relationship and character development, all delivered within a family-style setting designed to offer stability and belonging. The stated aim is to help break cycles of disadvantage across generations.
Operations are run on a 156-acre campus and are 100% privately funded. Revenue is supplemented by the Liberty Youth Ranch Upscale Shop, a resale social enterprise whose proceeds contribute to ongoing operating costs.
