Forest Home

Forest Home is a Christ-centered camp and retreat centre in Southern California. Founded in 1938, the organisation has been in operation for more than 85 years and hosts thousands of guests annually across family camps, youth camps, group retreats and discipleship programmes. Its stated mission rests on three pillars: to help people encounter Jesus, experience transformation and engage the world, expressed through worship, teaching, small-group community and recreation.

The organisation operates five camp centers - Forest Center, Lakeview, Creekside, Wild Rock and Ojai Valley - each providing lodging, meals, meeting spaces and recreation. Its main site sits in the mountains near Forest Falls, California, with a further campus in Ojai Valley.

Programming includes all-inclusive family camps, summer and winter youth camps for elementary, middle and high-school students, and retreats for groups, families and ministries. Longer-form offerings comprise gap year discipleship and development programmes and the Radiant programme, a discipleship experience for young women. The organisation documents its history in chapel books, in which thousands of personal testimonies have been recorded.
