Arundel Lodge is a 501(c)(3) non-profit provider of integrated behavioral health treatment and recovery services, headquartered in Edgewater, Maryland. Founded in 1975 by a group of concerned parents advocating for adult children released from institutional settings, the organisation serves more than 3,000 community members each year across Anne Arundel County and regions beyond.
Its work spans several connected areas: comprehensive integrated treatment programmes for people with behavioural health disorders; treatment built on the Recovery Model, which emphasises respect for individuals and recognition of their unique strengths, interests and goals, and which empowers people to take charge of their own treatment decisions; and programming that fosters social connection, creative expression and community engagement as part of recovery. Technical domains include behavioural health treatment, integrated behavioural healthcare, recovery-oriented care, psychosocial rehabilitation and community-based mental health services.
The organisation is accredited by CARF, has been designated a Center for Excellence in Recovery, and is regarded as one of the most respected integrated treatment centres in the region. Its stated vision is a world in which behavioural health disorders are not a limit to achieving a meaningful life.
