The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) is the global humanitarian arm of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, founded in 1984. It delivers relief and development assistance to people in need regardless of ethnicity, political affiliation, gender, or religious association. In 2025 it reports serving 8.6 million lives, working in more than 122 countries and delivering upwards of 1,000 projects.
ADRA's work falls into four impact areas: health, education, livelihoods and emergency response. Health, education and livelihoods programmes are designed to be culturally relevant and to build local capability for sustainable change; emergency response provides rapid relief, drawing on the Seventh-day Adventist Church's global network of communities of faith.
The organisation partners with local communities, organisations and governments rather than operating in isolation from them. Its stated mission is "to serve humanity so all may live as God intended", and its motto is "Justice. Compassion. Love." Industry focus spans humanitarian relief, international development, health, education, livelihoods and emergency response.
