The Fedcap Group

The Fedcap Group is a global nonprofit network running education, workforce development, health and economic development programmes for people facing barriers to employment.

The Fedcap Group is a global nonprofit network that works to advance economic well-being by helping people with barriers to employment achieve long-term economic independence. Founded in 1935 by three World War II veterans with disabilities, the organisation is built on a belief in the transformative power of work, dignity and economic independence. It reports serving more than 332,000 people each year across the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia.

Its activities span four programme areas. Education covers early childhood programmes, primary and secondary services, and post-secondary career training, including skilled trades development. Workforce Development provides industry-driven training, soft skills development and post-placement support to prepare individuals for in-demand jobs. Health includes public health education, care coordination and access to treatment. Economic Development focuses on building strong businesses, skilled talent and resilient communities through workforce investment and green innovation.

The group operates as a mission-driven network of affiliates, combining local expertise with shared infrastructure and innovation. It serves populations including at-risk children, working families, veterans, individuals with disabilities, people affected by substance misuse, justice-involved individuals and older workers, and describes itself as a thought leader in designing approaches to economic well-being. Work spans sectors such as education, workforce development, public health, economic development, skilled trades and green innovation.
