Stand Together

A philanthropic community founded in 2003 that funds and connects social entrepreneurs working on root causes of problems in education, the economy, criminal justice, free speech and communities.

Stand Together is a philanthropic community founded in 2003 by Charles Koch. It partners with social entrepreneurs and nonprofit leaders to address the root causes of what it describes as America's biggest problems, working across education, the economy, criminal justice, free speech and strong communities. Its operations are focused on the United States.

The organisation provides funding to social entrepreneurs and nonprofit leaders, and maintains a partner network of thousands of community members, including nonprofit and business leaders, philanthropists, NFL legends, civil rights leaders and grassroots activists. It also publishes a playbook for applying principles intended to transform lives and society, and uses Principle Based Management™, a management system designed to empower team members and partners to create long-term value and impact.

Stand Together describes its approach as a bottom-up empowerment paradigm, guided by principles of dignity, openness, mutual benefit and self-actualisation. Its stated vision is a society in which everyone has the opportunity to live a life of meaning by benefitting others.
