America's Promise Alliance is a national nonprofit alliance of youth-serving organisations in the United States. Founded in 1997 by five U.S. Presidents and General Colin L. Powell, it brings together the CEOs and executive teams of more than 170 leading nonprofits to work on youth opportunity and mobility. Its members collectively serve 32 million young people a year and control some $2 billion in annual spending.

The organisation operates through an integrated model combining leadership development, knowledge sharing, and capacity building, designed to help member organisations deepen their impact and adapt to changes in the field. A dedicated convening space allows senior leaders to build trust, relationships, and collaborative habits across institutional boundaries. Work spans youth development, K-12 education, postsecondary-to-workforce pathways, civic and democratic engagement, nonprofit capacity building, and leadership development.

Collective action initiatives are launched across three interconnected issue areas: aligning K-12 education and youth development, reimagining postsecondary to workforce pathways, and increasing civic and democratic engagement. The culture is explicitly collaborative, emphasising cross-organisational partnership, shared practice, and a mission-driven focus on opportunity and mobility for young Americans. The organisation operates within the United States.
