Protect Life Michigan

Pro-life nonprofit founded in 2005 that trains and deploys students for campus outreach and persuasive dialogue on abortion across Michigan.

Protect Life Michigan is a pro-life nonprofit founded in 2005 by a small group of volunteers in Michigan. Its work centres on recruiting, equipping and deploying students to conduct outreach and advocacy on college and high school campuses, with the stated aim of changing minds on abortion through persuasive dialogue rather than protest-based tactics.

The organisation runs several named programmes. The Life Advocate Intensive trains students and volunteers to hold persuasive, compassionate conversations with peers about the value of human life. Campus outreach initiatives operate across Michigan, and the Stump the Pro-Lifer Tour takes debate and discussion on abortion to audiences in a touring format. Technical work includes data-driven measurement of outreach outcomes, development of persuasion methodology, and curriculum design for youth leadership training.

Protect Life Michigan reports that more than 30% of pro-choice individuals changed their positions after engaging with its trained volunteers. In nearly two decades of operation it has grown from a handful of founding volunteers to a team of dozens of paid and active staff and activists. Its stated mission is "making abortion unthinkable", and its culture emphasises peer-to-peer engagement, strategic outreach and investment in young leaders.

The organisation's geographic presence is Michigan-based, with activity described as extending beyond the state within the United States. Industry verticals include pro-life advocacy, nonprofit and social advocacy, education, and youth leadership development.
