Prevail Fund

Prevail Fund is a private foundation pooling multi-year philanthropic funds and providing operational support to field organisations working on large-scale global education and development goals.

Prevail Fund is a private foundation, founded in 2022, that pools multi-year philanthropic capital and pairs it with hands-on operational support to help field organisations pursue large-scale global goals. Its model concentrates resources on a small number of ambitious programmes rather than spreading grants across many causes, and it looks for initiatives judged to be bold, realistic and leveraged. Funding is structured around long-horizon commitments: philanthropists commit capital for 10-12 years, with implementation and support running beyond a decade.

The foundation's first initiative targets more than 27.5 million children across 11 countries, with a geographic focus on Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia and an emphasis on foundational education. Prevail Fund works alongside governments and the private sector, aiming to multiply the effect of philanthropic dollars through coordination rather than standalone grant-making. Its industry fields are global philanthropy, foundational education, international development and social enterprise.

The founding team are experienced social entrepreneurs whose prior organisations employed more than 12,000 staff and managed combined budgets exceeding $500 million. The founding board draws on leadership from One Acre Fund, the Clinton Health Access Initiative and Educate Girls, bringing experience in field implementation, government partnerships and organisational scaling. Prevail Fund can be reached at prevailfund.org.
