Israeli-American Council

The Israeli-American Council is a national nonprofit building an engaged Israeli-American community through education, youth and young-professional programmes, civic engagement and anti-Semitism advocacy.

The Israeli-American Council (IAC) is the largest Israeli-American organisation in the United States. Founded in 2007 as the Israeli Leadership Council (ILC) in Los Angeles, it was established to connect Israeli-Americans around shared culture, language and history, and now operates nationally with offices in Los Angeles, New York, New Jersey, Boston, Miami and Las Vegas.

The organisation's work is built around educational and community programming aimed at strengthening Israeli and Jewish identity among future generations. Its programmes include Keshet, for young families connecting to Israeli and Jewish culture; Eitanim, focused on innovation and entrepreneurship for teenagers; Mishelanu, for college students on campus; and EDGE, for young professionals. The curriculum is rooted in nationhood, Judaism, Zionism and Hebrew language for children, youth and young adults.

Beyond education, the IAC runs civic engagement initiatives and anti-Semitism fighting initiatives, comprising training, advocacy and community mobilisation. Its stated aims include deepening the bond between the United States and Israel and building an engaged, unified community, with a volunteer-driven, mobilisation-oriented approach. It works across the nonprofit, education and civic engagement fields.
