The Foundation for California Community Colleges is the official nonprofit partner to the California Community Colleges, the largest and most diverse system of higher education in the United States. It operates as a hub for innovation and impact across the system, running programs and services intended to reduce barriers to opportunity, strengthen communities, and accelerate economic and social mobility for Californians. Its work is concentrated in California.
The Foundation's portfolio comprises more than 50 programs and services serving students, colleges and communities. These are organised around six priority areas of impact: Student Success, Workforce Development, Equity, Community Impact, Climate Action and System Support. Workforce Development focuses on building workforce readiness and career pathways; Equity on reducing barriers across the system; System Support on the California Community Colleges as a whole.
