Evara Health

Evara Health is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) serving communities in Pinellas County, Florida. Founded in 1980 and formerly known as Community Health Centers of Pinellas, Inc., the organisation operates 16 health centers and two mobile health units, and is among the largest FQHCs in Florida. It serves approximately 70,000 patients a year.

Services are delivered under a patient-centered medical home model and span family medicine and primary care, pediatrics, dental care, behavioral health, women's health and pharmacy services. A sliding fee scale programme sets charges according to income, extending care to low-income patients, many of whom live below the poverty line. Evara Health is accredited by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) and the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC).

The organisation was founded by Dr. Johnnie Ruth Clarke. Its stated mission is to innovate beyond barriers that limit access to quality healthcare, with a focus on health equity. Workforce development runs through the Evara Health Institute, the education and training arm that provides hands-on clinical experiences and programmes aimed at building a community-focused healthcare workforce.
