Non-denominational multi-site church founded in 2006 in Charlotte, offering worship services, ministries and outreach, with campuses including in Florida.
Elevation Church is an evangelical, non-denominational multi-site church founded in 2006 by Pastor Steven Furtick and Holly Furtick. Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, it began with eight core families meeting in a high school gymnasium and now draws weekly attendance of approximately 26,000 across a campus network that spans multiple states and international locations, including campuses in Florida. A global online community extends its reach beyond physical sites.
The church runs a range of ministries and programmes. These include Elevation Worship, the contemporary worship music ministry for which it is particularly known; eGroups, its small-group ministry; YTH, for youth; eKidz, for children; and Young Adult Ministries. Its stated mission holds that people far from God can be raised to life in Christ, and it emphasises community through small groups alongside a contemporary worship style.
Outreach is central to its operations: Elevation Church partners with more than 300 organisations globally. Its technical work spans live streaming and online broadcasting, podcasting, and social media and digital ministry, supporting both in-person campuses and its online congregation across North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Virginia, Tennessee, Indiana, Georgia, Texas and Canada.
