Communities Connected for Kids (CCKids) is a Florida-based nonprofit and community-based care lead agency contracted by the Florida Department of Children and Families to provide child-welfare oversight and coordination. It operates across four counties on the Treasure Coast: Indian River, Martin, Okeechobee and St. Lucie. The organisation's stated purpose is to prevent abuse, neglect and abandonment and to improve outcomes for children, youth and families in the region.
Its work spans integrated child-welfare services, including prevention and intervention, case management, protective supervision, placement, foster care, permanency, adoption, clinical support, caregiver assistance and independent-living transition services. CCKids also recruits and supports foster families, kinship caregivers and adoptive families through training, resources, advocacy and community outreach; a campaign launched in 2024 set a goal of adding 25 foster homes by 2025. The organisation emphasizes keeping siblings together and reducing reliance on group care.
Service delivery rests on a collaborative model that combines community partners, contracted providers and state resources. Carol Deloach, the chief executive, has more than 30 years of child-welfare experience. Jobs are concentrated in the organisation's core verticals: child welfare, social services, foster care and adoption, and family and children services.
