Cohen Veterans Network

Not-for-profit network of mental health clinics providing in-person and telehealth care to post-9/11 veterans, service members and their families across 22 states.

Cohen Veterans Network (CVN) is a not-for-profit network of mental health clinics serving post-9/11 veterans, active duty service members and their families. Founded in 2016 by philanthropist Steven A. Cohen with a philanthropic founding commitment of $275m, it treats depression, anxiety, PTSD, grief and transition challenges, among other conditions. Care is provided regardless of discharge status or role in service, and to the entire military family.

The network operates through Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinics, which run in 22 states and the District of Columbia. Alongside in-person therapy, CVN offers confidential telehealth services, intended to widen access to evidence-based care. The organisation prioritises access and low wait times, and states a belief that mental wounds are as important to treat as physical wounds.

More than 40% of network staff are veterans or military family members, reflecting an emphasis on lived experience. Work is organised around evidence-based care, confidentiality, and delivery through both clinic and remote channels. The stated vision is that every veteran, active duty service member and family member obtains high-quality care leading to fulfilling and productive lives.
