Advocates is a nonprofit providing person-centered residential, counseling, psychiatric, peer, and outreach services for developmental, mental health, brain injury, autism, and substance use needs in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

Advocates is a nonprofit organization that provides person-centered services and support for individuals and families facing developmental, mental health, brain injury, autism, intellectual disability, and substance use challenges. The organization has operated for more than fifty years and works across Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

Its work spans several service lines: residential programs offering housing and residential support; community-based counseling delivered in community settings; psychiatric services providing mental health care and treatment; peer supports, which are peer-led services promoting hope and recovery; and outreach initiatives that engage individuals and families in the wider community.
