The WOW Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit Adult Day Training (ADT) center based in Miami, Florida. Founded in 1972 by parents seeking better post-high school options for children with developmental disabilities, and formerly known as the Community Habilitation Center, it has operated in Miami-Dade County for more than 50 years. The organisation serves over 200 Miami-Dade residents, aged 21 to 75 and above.
Its stated mission is to provide adults with developmental disabilities with access to opportunities and resources, with an emphasis on personal choice, growth and independence. Programs span daily living instruction, arts, sports, music therapy, culinary training, wellness programming and participation in Special Olympics, alongside therapeutic services and education delivered in community settings.
Supported Employment services extend the organisation's work beyond the day centre, helping adults with developmental disabilities into employment settings across the county. The WOW Center operates within the Adult Day Training, developmental disabilities services and special education and therapy sectors.
