Propel America

Propel America is a Jobs-First Higher Education provider. It runs tuition-free career training programmes for high school graduates, preparing them for in-demand healthcare roles such as Medical Assistant and Sterile Processing Technician. The curricula are designed together with employer partners and combine college credits with hands-on experience.

The model rests on three components. Training programmes give fellows practical, employer-aligned preparation; every participant is assigned a one-on-one career coach to help set goals, navigate obstacles and prepare for interviews; and partnerships with employers committed to hiring graduates provide guaranteed interview opportunities.

The organisation states a mission focused on equity and access for young adults from marginalised and historically excluded communities, with wraparound support for participants and an aim of making education and workforce systems work for underserved populations.
