Lifeway Christian Resources

Nonprofit provider of Bibles, Bible studies, books, music, films, VBS materials, church supplies, camps and events for local churches, and an entity of the Southern Baptist Convention.

Lifeway Christian Resources is a nonprofit provider of ministry resources for local churches, operating as an entity of the Southern Baptist Convention. Founded in 1891 by Dr. James M. Frost, it has run for more than 130 years and now reaches more than 160 countries across six continents. The organisation describes its mission as helping people know Jesus Christ through biblically sound resources.

Its output spans Bibles, Bible studies, books, church music, films, Vacation Bible School curriculum, church supplies, camps and events. The work behind those products covers publishing and content development, biblical and theological editing, graphic design and print production, film and media production, music publishing and event and camp programming. Roles at the organisation include support specialists, Bible study editors and graphic designers.

Lifeway receives no denominational funding and operates independently on that basis, reinvesting income above operating expenses into mission work worldwide. Its founding story - started with a desk, a corner of a newspaper office and money borrowed from the founder's wife - remains part of its identity. Employees are also expected to serve in their own local churches, as Sunday School teachers, volunteers or small group leaders.
