ECHO INC. is a Florida-headquartered Christian agricultural organisation that networks, trains and resources a global community to address hunger through sustainable food and agroecosystem strategies.
ECHO INC. is a global Christian agricultural networking, training and resourcing organisation headquartered in Florida. Its stated purpose is to strengthen the capacity of a diverse global network to defeat hunger and improve lives through sustainable food and agroecosystem strategies. The organisation has operated for over 45 years and works across agriculture, food security research, sustainable development and international training.
Its principal asset is the ECHO Global Network, a body of individuals and organisations that act as multipliers for the tested options, strategies and research ECHO develops for communities facing food insecurity. The network comprises more than 20,000 members across 190 countries. Regional Impact Centers extend the agricultural training and resourcing work; one serving Central America and the Caribbean is based in Guatemala. A demonstration farm on ECHO's Florida campus is used to research and showcase agricultural best practices.
Technical work spans sustainable agriculture, agroecosystem strategies, food security research, and agricultural demonstration and training. The organisation describes itself as mission-driven and collaborative, with Christian faith-based values integrated with practical agricultural solutions, and a focus on combating hunger, malnutrition and poverty by equipping leaders with tools to create lasting change.
